Krista: there's no Robert at this number, can I take a message?
Female voice: (pause) there's no Robert there?
Krista: no, sorry
Female voice: (pause) then why did you ask to take a message?
Krista: sorry, I said the wrong thing, it's been a crazy day.
Female voice: (laughs) okay, have a nice day.

Me: (sitting in meeting room at 10)
Co-worker: Do you have this room booked?
Me: Yes, I think so. (checks calendar...checks email confirmations...checks calendar again)
Co-worker: Are you sure? Because I have it too.
Me: I'm pretty sure I have it. See here? On my calendar?
Co-worker: Weird.
(5 minutes of checking emails and calendars)
Me: Oh. My meeting isn't for another hour. I'm a big dork.
I think one of my worst moments like that was when I worked graveyard at IBM, and got a phone call at home:
"IBM AIX support this is Dominic, how can I help you?"
Yeah. It was bad.
